Optics
The Lens Is Half The luxury
A gorgeous frame with mediocre optics is a beautiful disappointment. That is why every pair of prescription lenses at Vision by Amel starts with digital lens measurement. A digital system records exactly how your chosen frame sits on your face, your pupil distance and your posture, then your lenses are made to those numbers.
The result reads simple and feels remarkable. Sharper edges. Wider sweet spots. Progressive lenses you adapt to quickly instead of fighting for weeks.
Prefer one pair for everything? Transitions® lenses darken in the Las Vegas sun and clear up the moment you step back inside the boutique, your office or your car.
Digital Measurement
Options
Built Around How You live
Single Vision, Perfected
Everyday clarity for distance or reading, cut to digital measurements most optical shops never take.
Progressive Lenses
Distance, computer and reading in one seamless lens. Digital fitting shrinks the adaptation period dramatically.
Transitions® Technology
Light adaptive lenses made for desert living. One pair, every light condition, real UV protection.
Made For Your Frame
Thin, light lens options matched to your designer frames, so a bold acetate or a rimless Cartier both look the way the house intended.
The Science
What Digital Measurement Actually measures
Two people can share the same prescription and need completely different lenses. Why? Because optics change with position. Your pupil distance sets where the optical center of each lens must sit. Your fitting height sets how high that center rides in your chosen frame. The distance and tilt of the frame on your face change how light enters the lens edge to edge.
Digital lens measurement captures all of it with your actual frame on your actual face. Those numbers drive the surfacing of your lenses, which is why digitally measured progressives feel wider and calmer than the one-size-fits-most version, and why your eyes stop hunting for the sweet spot.
Transitions® lenses add one more piece of chemistry. Photochromic molecules in the lens react to ultraviolet light, darkening outdoors within seconds and fading back to clear inside. In a city with over 290 days of sunshine, that is not a gimmick. That is a lens that works the way Las Vegas lives.

FAQ
Questions, Answered
What makes a premium lens different from a standard lens?
Measurement and materials. Premium lenses are surfaced from digital measurements of your eyes and your exact frame, which delivers sharper optics across more of the lens.
Do Transitions lenses work in a car?
Transitions lenses respond primarily to UV light, and windshields block much of it, so they lighten behind glass. Ask us about options designed for driving if that matters for your day.
How long do new progressive lenses take to get used to?
Most patients adapt within days when lenses are digitally measured and fitted correctly. If anything feels off, come back in. Adjustments are part of the service.
Can you put premium lenses in frames I already own?
Usually yes, if the frame is in good condition. Bring your frames to the boutique and an optician will tell you honestly whether they are worth new optics.
Do premium lenses include UV protection?
Yes. UV protection is built into our premium lens materials, and Transitions lenses add light adaptive tinting on top of it. In the Las Vegas sun, that matters every single day.
